Jalon, a non-profit organization, acts as a catalyst for innovation in sustainable mobility. A committed player in collective mobility, urban logistics, and land-use planning, Jalon wanted its new offices to express its mission: driving change. Located in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port, these spaces convey a forward-looking vision that is open to the city

The project’s guiding idea is simple: to make the space a place of expression. The name “Jalon” evokes a marker, movement, and progress. This idea comes to life from the very entrance: behind the heritage grey-stone façade, a bright, contemporary interior is revealed, where metal, glass, and brick naturally interact with the building’s character.

Designed to encourage interaction and flexibility, the offices reflect Jalon’s vitality. Immersive lounge areas, an orange cocoon, private phone booths, and a central purple platform invite connection and creativity. Mobility is expressed here through freedom of movement, modular spaces, and the quality of the furniture, supporting both collaborative work and individual reflection.

The integrated graphic design ties the whole together. An orange line, punctuated with pictograms, runs through the spaces and guides movement. On the glass surfaces, signage becomes a language in its own right—clear, functional, and aesthetic. Every detail helps transform the space into a legible and inspiring environment.
