The project, divided into two phases, first involved developing an intervention concept to bring the building up to code in line with its new purpose, and designing a concept for integrating new electromechanical systems, including a fire protection system. In the second phase, the project focused on the complete restoration of the interiors and the integration of new layouts to support the operation of a welcome and interpretation center, as well as the reactivation of the library that has occupied the site since 1888.
