Our team oversaw the expansion of the Mont-Joli Airport in collaboration with QMD, working under a turnkey delivery model—from design to construction documents and site supervision.
Inspired by the site’s military history, the simple massing, strategically placed openings, and dark cladding pay tribute to the original buildings while meeting the contemporary needs of regional transportation.
This project helps strengthen accessibility across Eastern Québec and brings the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie communities closer together. Today, with more than 10,000 flights per year, the airport plays a central role in the region, welcoming over 60,000 passengers annually.
