STGM and LLA Architecture join forces to structure a large-scale healthcare practice.

After several years of close collaboration, STGM Architecture and LLA Architecture are taking a new step by officially joining their expertise. This acquisition is part of a shared vision: to strengthen a practice that is robust, human, and sustainable in the healthcare sector.
Since 2018, the two firms have been working in consortium on major hospital and institutional projects, notably at the Institut national de psychiatrie légale Philippe-Pinel and Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne. These significant mandates illustrate the complementarity of our teams and the continued trust of our partners.
Through the mandates completed together, as well as those currently underway, the complementarity of our teams has become increasingly clear: a shared commitment to quality, a deeply rooted culture of collaboration, and a common desire to design high-performing care environments adapted to the complex realities of the network. This sustained collaboration has also demonstrated our collective ability to deliver complex healthcare infrastructure with rigour and commitment.

The addition of LLA Architecture’s team enables us to further structure and strengthen our healthcare practice, enhancing our ability to take on increasingly large-scale hospital and institutional projects.
Founded in 2018 by Stéphane Lalancette and Jean-Pierre Lamer, LLA Architecture builds on more than 35 years of combined experience in healthcare architecture. The founders have contributed to some of the most significant hospital projects in Quebec, developing deep expertise in occupied environments and in managing highly complex settings.
Over the years, we have developed specialized expertise in healthcare architecture. Joining STGM allows us to embed this expertise within a broader structure, supported by strong multidisciplinary teams. It is a strategic step that opens the door to even more ambitious projects, for the benefit of our clients.
Already well established in the healthcare sector, STGM has a recognized practice in real estate planning, building science, codes and standards, interior design, and signage. The integration of LLA strengthens this offering and further consolidates a structured healthcare practice, capable of supporting increasingly complex hospital and institutional infrastructures. Operations will continue with the same team and the same continuity of service, now under the STGM Architecture banner.
